About the event
Winter along the Merrimack can be breathtaking, when snow transforms the landscape and ice glistens along the riverbanks. But winter can also be fierce. A nor’easter can rattle windows and flood streets. Bitter cold can push us to our limits, challenging both body and spirit.
How can we appreciate winter in all its attitudes—both beautiful and daunting? How can we experience a deeper connection to our landscape in every season? How can we take care of one another in the face of extreme weather?
Join area high school students for a “conversation that matters.” We’ll share winter stories and prepare for the storms ahead—together.
After the Cafe, students will lead an optional stroll along the boardwalk looking for whispers of winter and signs of spring.
